March 2026 — Enhance your EU policy

    image

In December, we gave you a first glimpse of Power, our English-language vertical dedicated to decoding the power struggles, institutional mechanics and political strategies that shape European Union decisions.

Power has been live since 3 March.

As a Power subscriber, you will gain access to:

    • A daily newsletter: The essential morning briefing that sets your day’s agenda
    • In-depth articles: Investigative articles that explain the “why” and “how” behind the headlines
    • Exclusive leaks: First-hand access to the files driving the legislative process
    • Precision monitoring

But Power is more than a new editorial line.

With this launch, we’re extending our monitoring capacity across EU institutions, connecting analysis with our in-house tools for keyword alerts, instant transcripts, an up-to-date MEP directory and dedicated thematic pages that consolidate all information around your EU files.

Contexte is built for professionals who need to anticipate policymaking — not react to it.

    Discover Power

    Focus — Legislative files, centralised

    image

Focus brings together all related content for a specific legislative file into a single, structured page.

It combines editorial coverage, official documents and key monitoring elements to give you a complete, up-to-date view of the file.

In one place, you can understand its current status, the political stakes and what’s evolving — without navigating between multiple sources or pages.

MEP Directory — Political positions through amendments

    image
    image

The MEP Directory provides a structured view of political positioning through concrete legislative activity.

Each profile provides detailed information on members of the European Parliament, including the amendments they have tabled and their involvement in specific files.

By analysing this activity, you gain clear insight into policy stances, influence patterns and emerging alliances — making it easier to map coalitions and understand negotiation dynamics within Parliament.

Keyword alerts — Monitoring official documents

    image

Keyword alerts automatically track official EU sources and notify you whenever your selected topics appear in newly published documents.

By setting up customised keywords, you create a continuous monitoring layer that scans institutional outputs for you — so you don’t have to manually check websites or PDFs.

Each alert provides immediate notification, allowing you to identify new developments or policy signals when they are published.

    Transcripts — Searchable debate intelligence

    image
    image

Transcripts turn hours of parliamentary debate into searchable, structured intelligence.

With word alerts, you can track specific keywords across official EU meetings and receive notifications the moment your topic is mentioned — completed with additional context and speaker’s information.

Because the full text of each meeting is searchable and notifiable, you can also detect indirect or unexpected references in sessions you weren’t actively following. This helps you to capture early political signals, limit blind spots and anticipate risks before they appear in formal documents.

July 2025: Updated alerts centre + senators included in directory

This month, we’re rolling out two big improvements for users who have advanced functional coverage on French editions:

    • Our alerts centre is more useful, and easier to configure and navigate.
    • The directory now covers all French and European parliamentarians.

    Alerts centre: What has improved?

The design of the alerts centre has been overhauled to provide a more efficient, centralised experience.

The result? Easier access to the information you need.

Better navigation with a tailored interface

    image

The alerts centre now features an improved, more ergonomic design: unread alerts are highlighted to help you keep track of them more easily.

Streamlined monitoring: Legislative alerts integrated in alerts centre

    image

The results from text monitoring in our legislative monitoring tool are now integrated into the alerts centre, along with your keyword alerts.

All your alerts are now conveniently grouped together in a single space for more straightforward monitoring.

Smarter tracking: Alerts grouped by keyword or bills

    image

To help you track your chosen subjects more effectively, alerts are now automatically grouped:

    • by keyword for thematic alerts – each tracked keyword groups together the associated results, regardless of their source; and
    • by bills for follow-up alerts (PJL, PPL, etc.) – this allows you to:
      • follow the progress of a bill more easily;
      • find the history of related publications; and
      • quickly identify new articles associated with a file you’re following.

Effortless customisation: Set your alerts – your way

    image

Alert settings have been completely redesigned for more streamlined usage. You can now manage your alerts directly from the alerts centre without having to switch pages.

Choose your sources (bills and amendments, Journal Officiel, debates):

    • Schedule how often you’d like to receive alerts.
    • Select the format and delivery channel.

All options are visible at a glance, making it even easier to tailor alerts to your needs.

Stay updated each morning: Find all your alerts in Briefing+

    image

Until now, only a few keyword alerts were visible at the end of a briefing. Now all the alerts that you’ve set up will appear in a clearer format. You can find all the alerts you’ve received in the past 24 hours by reading your briefing on the website.

    You can:

    • identify the latest alerts where new content has appeared; and
    • get one-click access to cited sources (legal texts, debates, documents, articles and more).
    (Re)discover the alerts centre

The directory has been expanded to include senators

    image

The directory now brings the following together in a single space:

    • French Members of Parliament
    • French senators
    • Members of the European Parliament

Following the introduction of the MPs (in March) and MEPs (in May), senators will now be included in the directory. The updated directory is accessible to all subscribers, and allows you to:

    • consult amendments table by each senator;
    • search by keyword (e.g. “hydrogen”, “budget”, etc.); and
    • filter by results (accepted, rejected, etc.);
    💡

This tool will be especially useful in the run-up to the budget bill to quickly find out who is offering amendments on your key issues.

    July 2024 : a new homepage for contexte.com

When we launched the new version of contexte.com in early November 2023, we aimed to align the site with our new visual identity: new logo, new fonts, new colours, an updated graphic style — with a strong focus on accessibility.

But we weren’t entirely satisfied with the homepage. Initially, it focused only on articles, but this didn’t reflect the full range of our editorial coverage, especially our daily briefings.

That’s been fixed! Here’s a quick tour of what’s new:

    image

Access the content that matters most to you – faster

On the new homepage, you can browse our most recent content by topic, organised around the key stories of the moment.

So instead of being scattered across the page, all content related to the 2024 legislative elections, for example, is grouped in one dedicated space.

    image

Another improvement is that your briefings are now featured right at the top of the homepage – just a click away.

    image

    Discover more tailored content

This new entry point to contexte.com is also personalised. It highlights recent briefings and articles from your subscribed editions, along with related topics that you might find useful.

These updates are just the beginning. Our homepage will continue to evolve in the coming weeks and months – always with the same goal in mind: to make it easier for you to access the content that matters.

    Happy reading!
