July 2025: Updated alerts centre + senators included in directory
This month, we’re rolling out two big improvements for users who have advanced functional coverage on French editions:
- Our alerts centre is more useful, and easier to configure and navigate.
- The directory now covers all French and European parliamentarians.
Alerts centre: What has improved?
The design of the alerts centre has been overhauled to provide a more efficient, centralised experience.
The result? Easier access to the information you need.
Better navigation with a tailored interface
The alerts centre now features an improved, more ergonomic design: unread alerts are highlighted to help you keep track of them more easily.
Streamlined monitoring: Legislative alerts integrated in alerts centre
The results from text monitoring in our legislative monitoring tool are now integrated into the alerts centre, along with your keyword alerts.
All your alerts are now conveniently grouped together in a single space for more straightforward monitoring.
Smarter tracking: Alerts grouped by keyword or bills
To help you track your chosen subjects more effectively, alerts are now automatically grouped:
- by keyword for thematic alerts – each tracked keyword groups together the associated results, regardless of their source; and
- by bills for follow-up alerts (PJL, PPL, etc.) – this allows you to:
- follow the progress of a bill more easily;
- find the history of related publications; and
- quickly identify new articles associated with a file you’re following.
Effortless customisation: Set your alerts – your way
Alert settings have been completely redesigned for more streamlined usage. You can now manage your alerts directly from the alerts centre without having to switch pages.
Choose your sources (bills and amendments, Journal Officiel, debates):
- Schedule how often you’d like to receive alerts.
- Select the format and delivery channel.
All options are visible at a glance, making it even easier to tailor alerts to your needs.
Stay updated each morning: Find all your alerts in Briefing+
Until now, only a few keyword alerts were visible at the end of a briefing. Now all the alerts that you’ve set up will appear in a clearer format. You can find all the alerts you’ve received in the past 24 hours by reading your briefing on the website.
You can:
- identify the latest alerts where new content has appeared; and
- get one-click access to cited sources (legal texts, debates, documents, articles and more).
The directory has been expanded to include senators
The directory now brings the following together in a single space:
- French Members of Parliament
- French senators
- Members of the European Parliament
Following the introduction of the MPs (in March) and MEPs (in May), senators will now be included in the directory. The updated directory is accessible to all subscribers, and allows you to:
- consult amendments table by each senator;
- search by keyword (e.g. “hydrogen”, “budget”, etc.); and
- filter by results (accepted, rejected, etc.);
This tool will be especially useful in the run-up to the budget bill to quickly find out who is offering amendments on your key issues.
May 2025: Launch of the EU Edition, multilingual interface, and integration of MEPs into the directory (beta)
April 2025: Directory of French MPs, “My Account” page
March 2025 : briefing+, directory of French MPs, menu, AI transcripts, new subscription offer
November 2024 : keyword alerts centre
October 2024 : keyword alert sources, AI-generated transcripts — now in beta!
July 2024 : a new homepage for contexte.com
April 2024 : help, search and dark mode
We need your feedback to develop editorial products that are genuinely useful.
That’s why we’re launching the Contexte Reader Panel, which will be made up of a group of readers that we’ll consult two to three times a year via video to receive feedback, test new features and help us better understand your needs.
